Yes! Just let us know when you come to the check-in booth that you are only looking for pumpkins. We have pre-picked pumpkins and gourds by the entry on a trailer, or you are also welcome to walk to the patch and pick your own.
If we aren't too busy, we try to keep some of the pumpkins on the trailer marked with the pounds and corresponding price.
Pumpkins are 50 cents/pound. We have some as small as 5 pounds ($2 each) and potentially as big as 80 pounds ($40 each.)
Not at all! We have guests ranging from newborn to in their 90s, who all enjoy the maze and grounds. Our games were made for kids but with adults in mind--even our barrel train.
Throughout the maze and grounds we have dozens of educational signs and displays. All ages can learn something from a visit to our farm!
Because we are open so few days, we plan to be open rain or shine. It has happened, however, when a day-long deluge or dangers of lightening have caused us to close. If we need to close for extreme weather, it will be posted on our website, Facebook, and Google.
We even hosted a field trip in a blizzard one year, breaking out in a chorus of Jingle Bells on the hay ride!
The grounds are completely grass, but they are level enough for strollers and wagons to move easily. We have had guests with wheelchairs, walkers, and scooters. We always make sure that one of our porta-potties are wheelchair accessible also.
Besides the obvious pumpkins and gourds, we do grow other crops. Our apples are used by us to press our cider, and are not available for sale. However, during the season we may have available eggs, honey, berries, or pick-your-own pears and concord grapes. If you are looking for apples, there are a few orchards and food stands within 10 minutes of our farm.
